Without communication, what would we be? It's a question we may need to ask ourselves! Can you imagine what would we be? Yes, indeed you are correct - same. No change. Then what's making things worse when it comes to communicate with rest of our herd? Why there's always an indifference amongst and rest others? I was searching for the probabilities and one of the probability which came to my mind is our brain - the secret should lie inside from the day we came in existence and that should hold the answer.
Else we can think further and the simplest of the simple answer would be either 'No idea' or 'the so-called expectations' for the communique technique.
As simple, when we moved as herds, nomads, we were not destined to stay in single place. It is believed that we were constantly searching for the best place to reside. When one got a place to hold (whether it's the best or worst), the strongest herd survived while we humans were not different from wild animals marking our own territory.
We have our own power of imagination - that's how we humans along with other creatures were able to co-exist in this world. Our constant search has brought betterment in us. Alas, we are using the creativity for the purpose of business which creates a mask in our communication to express ourselves. Our expressions are such a way that we constantly look to overthrow our opponent by many means - criticise, identifying the weakness and hitting hard, dominant, blabber...
All these would result in only one thing, others view was never considered and the opinion of yours was forced upon others. We don't have the patience to listen which is an essential part of communication. Now everything we zap, quickly jumping to show off.
As a seed in the womb, the first place where it is believed after the development of receptor sensors the communication would start. But still the tiny life does not know how to react to the reflex of mother's. It is a dream in the darkest place, where the life has started its journey. Incidentally, if we all follow only this communication which is the basics of basic by just accepting what is being taught to us (nevertheless to say with our closed eyes). But we are not inside the womb, the life has to spring out to this material world. Life's first reaction to this material world and the first visible communication is cry. The baby starts crying fearing the change has occurred and the baby has started to learn.
The first thing baby did to communicate is CRY. When the baby cries, it is provided with comfort and attention is being provided. That's where we started to believe (the baby as we are) we cry to get the attention or the sake of bringing attention, we just do weird things which annoy most.
As babies, we discovered the communication a simple one - cry, smile and stay in protected hands. Then onwards the baby observes and believes of it's own according to the situation it is put. This is stored in their neurons and will resort to the communication methodology!!!
What we then give into baby's hand - a book to read, a pencil to write or some crayons to colour to express or to a serene place where the baby can see nature as nature???
No definitely not, we show to our baby our multi face - anger, deception, violence... even before they start crawling or walking. More and more taught free communication to our children's. After this we are proud to give cell phones and other gadgets stressing that these are most important way of communication. What we don't do is the freedom for the child to express themselves (with no fear)...
I know that life is hectic and many of us now are not able to cope with racing world. We just don't have time to praise our partners, parents, children, friends and other way-wards. We are alarmingly becoming machines and adopting machinery life.
The first thing we need to do is to start listening to our children with all the patience and explain them in best possible manner. This will be the first step as a parent we need to do to cultivate good communication. If each individual started to practise, all the indifference's will be rooted out and our next generation though with all the technologies may not slip out of the most essential property which distinct us from other living beings - real face to face communication where our eyes do meet and ours ears listen with love & kindness.
Let us be human and let us communicate to the next generation, please!
