Our Maiden Party - MISS 22-Mar-2012

Dear MISS members,
First of all, I wish to thank each and everybody in making the maiden MISS Get together a successful & memorable one. Without your astounding cooperation and contribution this event would not be a success. In this moment, I would like to reiterate the importance of get together, it’s not only social activity but provides a platform for everyone to mingle and interact which will certainly I believe would sort out any indifference's. As humans, we are prone to do mistakes while at work we could have knowingly or unknowingly hurt others sentiment and feelings. A personal party of these sort should relieve us of mental stress and make joyous moments.

Now coming to 22nd March 2012, Jagadeep Farewell Party which has also become Satish Dhavle send-off party too. We knew that 6.30PM is bit earlier, but we need to give a cushion of 30 minutes so that by 7.00PM all people could have assembled and the party can be started. I appreciate Suresh Varghese who was prompt to make it to the party by 6.31PM, Keep it up. Few of our people were not able to make it to the party, which I feel they will definitely make it to the next party!

This moment, I need to thank few of our MISS committee who always spearhead the event or the arrangements. They are
1. Venkateswara Rao
2. Freeda Gomes
3. Veeramani Murugaiyan

A little story for you all, how the concept of KISS (now MISS) has come. It was in the middle pantry, one day there was a discussion on social gathering like our fellow expats are organising. Why we can’t have some sort of socialising be it the office or outdoor. This was the discussion between Freeda and Veeramani in my presence, I had the Honor to give a name to our committee instantly KISS - KES Indian Social Society a name inspired all!!! Our patron Rao was always there for this kind of event, he materialised the Thursday morning party - BHEL party by our ‘Bombay Babu’ Jagadeep. I need to thank him from all our behalf for his efforts in giving us wonderful BHEL, Thanks Jagadeep.

The day has come to re brand KES and KES has become ESM. So we need to adapt ourselves and we re branded our community title as MENA (MENA Engineering Services) Indian Social Society - MISS. So sweet KISS has become beautiful MISS now…

Rao being the jockey and with his enthusiasm the party rocketed. Thanks Rao without you, we need to search for our Team Leader for the event, function and the MISS community. I forgot to mention on the dais - the words on the memento were from Rao, I had an opportunity to voice it on the stage on the day. And the memento concept and its arrangement - full credit to Rao while I had another opportunity to work with the Microsoft word to re-arrange or design the layout as per his guidance. Hat’s off to you Rao. I need to thank Veeramani for providing photo snap to materialise the memento and proof checks.

Freeda she was one of the first to come out on the concept of JT Party. Her effortless follow-ups (Hi guys still you have not send mail, collected money, what is the venue/menu?, gifts, games etc…) Every time we need to pass the reception she will come up with some ideas and follow-ups, we cannot go through some other exit as they are meant for Emergency evacuation only!!! Thanks Freeda for all the help you extended and made the event a memorable one.

Veeramani who always gave novel ideas like the shirt he wore up for the party, who looks for the perfection, planning and guidance. You take a concept, he will immediately come up with the merits/demerits - planning and follow-up. As a close-aid and friend of mine, I knew him personally on how he meticulously craft the things - be it personal or official. Thanks for him in convincing ‘Bombay Babu’ and initialising the concept to give Satish a send-off gift and followed up with him to arrive to the party. He clicked beautiful snaps of our party, he has become the first MISS official photographer. Many things I can add, but people would get excited.

Now I need to discuss here about the most important person of our MISS community, do you know who that person is? Without that person's support, it is hard to imagine what we could have done? Still not able to conclude!!!

It's only and one - YOU!!! The person who is not in the above list and who cannot be described with few words. Whatever we have come up with ideas, YOU were really behind us backing up and giving a head straight with proud feelings - INDIANS. YOU made the Thursday parties, Independence day party, Farewell gifts and now the first official outside party at Hotel Kohinoor. YOU always made things look simple. I, on behalf of the MISS committee once again thank YOU.

13. Another game on hand signs was carried out by Rao. Aasman, Jameen & office and it was reverberating and a tough competition between Suresh Varghese & Mahavir Rana. It was decided to give the second to win Mahavir Rana as Suresh was honoured with a gift for the punctuality. It was indeed, we thought it would be wise if Suresh could have given the gift to Mahavir Rana. Thanks Suresh for accepting to honour Mahavir Rana. And special thanks to Rao requesting Suresh.
14.Memento was given to Jagadeep and I had a honour to do it. I am humbled and I saluted Freeda and thanks Rao for giving me this opportunity.
15. Veeramani presented gift to Satish Dhavle. I thank Rao on behalf of Veera for giving him the honour to do so.
16. Prize distributed for winners of Tam bola, Hands sign game & Best Punctual person.

20. Menu was Pappad with chutney, Green Salad, Bread basket (Naan & Kulcha), Chicken Chettinad, Mutton gosh!, Vegetable Pulav, Gopi Manchurian, Panner Mutter masala, Ice cream & Gulab Jamun. What I heard from people was except for Mutton, everything was fine to eat.
21. Party came to an end.
22. Settled the bill.

Thanks all for making the event a happy one with wishes for Jagadeep and Satish Dhavle for their journey ahead!

All the best.
